Zambrero, the Mexican-inspired, fresh food restaurant, officially launches its newest store in Castletroy, Limerick next Wednesday 17th April. To celebrate the launch the first 250 Zambrero Castletroy customers will enjoy a free burrito!
Locals and visitors to Castletroy can look forward to a fresh addition to their lunch or dinner rotation, with the restaurant offering a range of burritos, bowls and nachos with tasty protein options and a variety of fillings and sauces. Vegan and vegetarian options are also on the menu. The first lucky 250 customers to Zambrero in Castletroy next Wednesday 17th from 12pm will enjoy a free burrito, while after that the store will run a 2-for-1 offer until 9 pm that evening.
Darragh Fanning, General Manager of Zambrero in Ireland, said, “We’re thrilled to expand into a new county, and Limerick has been at the top of our target list for the past two years. Our beautiful site in Castletroy near UL is perfectly situated, with a vibrant student population, which forms a key part of our demographic. Our local franchisee Paul Cosgrave, brings valuable experience in the food business. Our new staff are excited to open, and introduce Zambrero to the local community, offering something truly unique in Castletroy. We have already been welcomed into the community with people eager for us to open and wishing us luck”.
Former Leinster and Connacht rugby player Darragh Fanning brought the Zambrero franchise to Ireland in 2016, after helping friend and teammate Shaun McCarthy open two locations in Australia. Castletroy will be the 23rd location of the franchise in Ireland, with plans in place for further expansion in 2024.
In addition to offering healthy Mexican cuisine, Zambrero remains dedicated to its Plate 4 Plate initiative, which ensures that for every burrito or bowl purchased, a meal is donated to someone in need through Zambrero’s distribution partner, Rise Against Hunger. With each meal sold at Zambrero Limerick, customers can contribute to this impactful program and help fight global hunger.
Zambrero won Silver at the Just Eat Awards 2023, winning the second-best Mexican restaurant in Ireland. Zambrero were recently among four finalists nominated for the Deliveroo “Beating Heart of the Community” Award, acknowledging the stores’ positive impact on local communities.
The new store is located in Unit 3, Glensk on the Dublin Road in Castletroy in Limerick. It will open each day 11 am until 9 pm Monday through Sunday. This new Limerick opening brings the number of Zambrero stores to 23 throughout Ireland.
