Michelin-star Aniar restaurant in Galway is to welcome Andy McFadden of Michelin-star Dublin restaurant Glovers Alley and Ciaran Sweeney of The Olde Glen Bar in Donegal while JP McMahon visits Michelin-star Glovers Alley in Dublin for the latest Chef Swap series.
In the latest edition of the Chef Swap at Aniar series, JP McMahon will welcome chefs Andy McFadden and Ciaran Sweeney into his kitchen to co-create a menu featuring the best from both chefs while JP will visit Glovers Alley restaurant during November.
JP McMahon of Aniar Restaurant in Galway will work with the Glovers Alley team, on St. Stephens Green in Dublin, to create a special evening showcasing a taste of the west of Ireland on Wednesday, November 15th. Andy McFadden will then feature in Anair on Saturday, November 25th bringing the elegance of his food from Glovers Alley to Aniar. Ciaran Sweeney of Olde Glen Bar joins the Aniar team on Wednesday, November 29th when guests will be presented with some highlights from his seasonal Donegal-based menu. The Galway Chef Swap events are also a part of Blas Na Gaillimhe “Blas Na Samhain” (A Taste of November) which will include other food events around the city and the county of Galway.
JP McMahon said, “Chef Swap evenings have always been exciting both for myself and the team in the kitchen. We can give our guests a taste of different chef’s food without having to travel to two different restaurants. We learn so much as a team from each one and it creates a lovely dynamic of camaraderie in the kitchen that I’m sure is also felt on the dining room floor by guests. Inviting chefs into our kitchen is key to our philosophy of education and openness regarding Irish food culture”.
Each of the Chef Swap evenings at Aniar dinner menus follows the same format as the regular Aniar tasting menus, 23 courses at €152 per person, optional wine pairing (€80) or juice pairing (€40). Aniar is located at 53 Lower Dominick Street, Galway.
JP McMahon in Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden restaurant on November 15th will be a 7-course tasting menu priced at €140 per person. Glovers Alley is located at 128 St.Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2.
