Job Vacancy : Account Director Role

We are hiring for an Account Director. You will be a crucial part of a fast-growing PR agency.  Our HQ is based in beautiful Galway city in a young, dynamic work space. We work with exciting brands in Ireland’s food and hospitality industry.

Account Director / Senior PR Account Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Key leadership role in leading the food and drinks PR division
  • Contributing on a strategy level to client comms plans
  • Influencer marketing strategy and implementation
  • Day-to-day account management and taking ownership of each client account objectives.
  • Adding creative input and knowing trends in comms and how they can enhance client work.
  • Usually, day-to-day PR activities include acting as media relations for our portfolio of clients. 
  • Research, draft and distribute PR materials (press releases, interview pitches, photo-call notices). 
  • Liaising with national, local and specialist food and hospitality media to maximise media coverage. 
  • Writing photography briefs and working closely with photographers to coordinate photo shoots.
  • Mentoring, managing and training junior members of the team.
  • Compilation of End of Month/Quarter reports 
  • Demonstrating KPIs
  • Achieving department revenue targets 

Our wish list:

    • Must be an expert in consumer PR with a wide knowledge of Ireland’s influencer landscape.
    • Must have strong media relationships
    • Ideally Galway city based with the ability for some domestic travel.
    • Immediate start
    • Full-time or four days a week
    • Salary dependent on experience
    • Proficiency in project management tools, Google Drive and Google applications.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in PR , Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
    • +4 years of experience in PR account management with strategic planning and client relationship management.
    • Expert knowledge of communications industry and online trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
    • A proven track record of successfully managing communications campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, print, broadcast, and social media.
    • Excellent communication skills, with a can-do attitude.
    • A strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive business growth.
