Six By Nico Dublin and Belfast launched its new menu, Mexico, perfectly timed for summer vibes.
Six By Nico Dublin and Belfast launched a new 6-week-only menu, bringing the vibrant spirit of modern Mexico with its contemporary and refined take on Mexican food – and, of course, the drinks.
The menu will run from May 20th until June 30th. Inspired by the country’s extensive and sophisticated culinary culture, ‘Mexico’ aims to transport diners from the hazy cactus deserts of Tijuana to the vibrant, bustling streets of Mexico City with each course. Rich in colour and flavour, the six-course tasting menu combines elements of contemporary Mexican street food and ancient culinary classics that promise to give guests a taste of the country’s flavourful history.
Guests can expect Mexican staples with signature Six By Nico finesse, such as a Tostada with Prawn, Cucumber and Shallot, Creme Fraiche, Burnt Cucumber and Guacamole, Barbacoa with
Calcot Onions, Roasted Garlic Emulsion, Smoked Ketchup, Smoked Almond Pesto and Pork Crackling, and a Slow Cooked Chicken Leg Roulade, Crispy Tamales, Serrano Pepper Mayonnaise and Tomato Mole.
The launch of the Six by Nico Mexico menu was preceded by a trip to Mexico by founder Nico Simeone and his culinary team. The team spent time in Michelin-starred restaurants, top street food hotspots, and even home-cooking kitchens to produce an authentic and contemporary menu.
Nico Simeone said, “Our trip to Mexico to research and explore how our Mexico menu would evolve marks the second instalment of our Summer Series here at Six by Nico, where we seek to take our guests on a summer adventure of food hotspots famed for their unique dishes, and spins on the classics,”
The Mexico menu will commence on May 20th, while the New York-inspired menu will run until then. The Six By Nico menu is a six-course tasting menu, with vegetarian and vegan alternatives also available. The tasting menu is €55 per person, and the wine pairing option is €40 per person.
