Romance is in the air at Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden on St Stephen’s Green this Valentine’s Day. The dining room’s stunning blush pink and marble décor, paired with spectacular views out to the atmospheric lights of St Stephen’s Green, enhances the romance and makes Glovers Alley the perfect setting for an intimate meal with your valentine.
Andy McFadden — Best Chef In Ireland and Best Chef in Dublin (Food & Wine Awards 2018) — has specially designed a dreamy four-course and eight-course Valentine’s Day Menu for couples to indulge in.
Andy of Glovers Alley said, “The Valentine’s Day Menu that we’re offering our guests will showcase the best local, seasonal ingredients that are available to us. We have chosen some really unique wines to be paired with both the four-course menu and the eight-course menu”.
To celebrate this special day, diners can choose between a Four Course Valentine’s Day Menu or a Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu.
The Four Course Valentine’s Day Menu will include Scallop Ceviche & ‘Waldorf Salad’ to start, followed by dishes of Cod, Brassicas, Hollandaise & Seaweed and Aged Beef Sirloin, Celeriac, Hazelnut & Truffle and a decadent Manjari Chocolate, Macadamia Nut & Guinness to finish the evening on a sweet note.
For those looking for the ultimate gastronomic experience, the Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu will also be available. This eight-course tasting menu begins with Lambay Island Crab, Kohlrabi, Ponzu & Thyme. The consecutive dishes are Coolattin Cheddar Dumplings, Ham Hock & Pommery Mustard; Beet ‘Tartare’, Hazelnut, Watercress & Truffle; Scallop, Pig’s Head, Pumpkin & Ginger; Anjou Pigeon, Carrot, Olives & Verjus; an optional cheese course; Grapefruit, Velvet Cloud Sheep’s Yoghurt, Honey & Lime; and Mango, Pineapple, Cream Cheese & Passion Fruit to finish.
The cost of the Four Course Valentine’s Day Menu is €80 per person or €130 with wine pairings, and the Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu is €105 per person or €195 with wine pairings.
