As part of the month-long food festival ‘Blas na Samhna’, celebrating the best of Galway’s culinary scene, Aniar restaurant is hosting a series of exciting events this November. The events promise to showcase the diverse and innovative approaches to food that make Galway’s dining culture so unique.
This Saturday, November 16th, Kevin Burke of the award-winning Library Street in Dublin will team up with JP McMahon for a collaborative tasting menu in Aniar. Both chefs share a commitment to using Irish ingredients which promises a unique and refined dining experience that highlights the best of local produce.
Then, on November 20th, Aniar will host a special evening of organic wine pairings with Colm Carter from H2G Wines. Colm will curate a selection of organic wines, expertly paired with Aniar’s signature dishes. The event will take place from 7 pm to 9 pm in a family-style seating arrangement.
Lastly, on Sunday 24th Aniar will transfer into a pop-up Ramen bar for the day where guests can walk-in and enjoy ramen, tempura and bao dishes as well as Furikake fries. No reservations are required for this street food experience, with a relaxed afternoon of tasty Japanese bites.
JP McMahon said “Blas na Samhna is such a great opportunity for us to showcase what Galway has to offer in terms of food. We’re happy to be collaborating with Kevin Burke, celebrating organic wines with Colm Carter, and offering something a little different with our Ramen Bar. It’s going to be a fantastic month of food in Galway.”
The tasting menu for the Kevin Burke event at Aniar is priced at €160 per person, reservations are available at www.aniarrestaurant.ie for the last remaining tables. Tickets for the wine event are €85 per person for food & paired wine, though space is limited; reservations can be made by emailing [email protected]. The Ramen Bar is open for walk-ins only from 1 pm to 7 pm, with no reservations required.
