Following on from the phenomenal success of the inaugural Birdhill Coffee Festival which took place earlier this month on 6th and 7th July, plans are already underway to host another festival next year.
A cloudy weekend in Tipperary didn’t dampen the spirits of festival-goers attending the first-ever Birdhill Coffee Festival with attendees arriving in the picturesque village for two days of coffee tasting, education and caffeine highs. Highlights of the fun-filled weekend included coffee roasting demonstrations, a latte art throwdown, educational masterclasses and brewing and tasting stations. Attendees received reusable coffee cups and a Birdhill Coffee Festival tote bag while lots of lucky winners also took home fabulous coffee-related prizes in the festival’s Spin the Wheel competition.
Ticket sales for the event far exceeded expectations, with Alan Andrews, Founder of the Birdhill Coffee Festival and owner of The Old Barracks Coffee Roastery and Guji Coffee, saying, “I am overwhelmed with the support for the festival. People travelled from Dublin, Galway, Cork, Waterford, the UK and even as far as Germany. There was super engagement, lots of fun and it has inspired us to make next year’s event bigger and better.”
The second Birdhill Coffee Festival is set to take place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June, 2025 at The Old Barracks, Birdhill, Tipperary, V94 AX53.
