The inaugural Purty Kitchen Fish and Chips Festival weekend takes place from the 5th to the 7th of January, in association with Wicklow Wolf. Known for its great food and drinks in the coastal suburb of Dun Laoghaire, it makes sense to kick off January celebrating local ingredients.
A special menu will be available all weekend with dishes paired with Wicklow Wolf beers and wine pairings. The Purty regular fish and chips which is market fresh in a signature Wicklow Wolf batter will be paired with a pint of Wicklow Wolf Elevation Pale Ale for €24.50, monkfish scampi and chips is paired with a glass of Domaine Del Sol Picpoul De Pinet for €29.50 while a ‘Posh Fish and Chips’ will be paired with a glass of premium wine and the fish will be fresh from the fish market.
The weekend-long celebration of the classic pairing of fish and chips will focus on supporting local suppliers, including Ocean Marine and Georges Fish shops. Reservations recommended via purtykitchen.com
