Cask, Ireland’s most awarded cocktail bar, will be in Barcelona for a one-night-only bar takeover this St Patrick’s Day, Tuesday March 17th at Two Schmucks Bar in the city’s El Raval district.
Bringing a taste of Ireland to Barcelona, Linda O’Flynn and Carl d’Alton of Cask will create cocktails which allow guests to sample some of the best foraged and local ingredients that Ireland has to offer, inspired by the rich flavours and notes of Teeling small batch whiskey.
The takeover will feature quality Irish spirits combined with infusions of Irish nettle and blackberry, rosehip and fig leaf and even dillisk, an Irish seaweed famed for its umami essence.
Cask have an ethos of basing their cocktails around the wild ingredients that grow in Ireland and a strict policy of only using ingredients grown in Ireland, except for their spirits. The team has built a reputation for producing the most creative and innovative drinks’ menus in Ireland.
Drinks available on the night include ‘PEA’ Teeling Small Batch, Sugar Snap, Absinthe; ‘ROSEHIP’ Teeling Small Batch, Rosehip, Fig Leaf; ‘NETTLE’ Teeling Small Batch, Irish Blackberry Wine, Lichen, Nettle; ‘RASPBERRY’ Teeling Small Batch, Irish Raspberry Wine, Verbena, Whites; and ‘MAN OF ARAN’ Teeling Small Batch, Cocchi Americana, Smoked Wakame, Dillisk.
The takeover will kick off at 8:00pm and run until 11:00pm and there is no charge to attend.
