Celebrate World Tapas Day at Galway’s much-loved and multi-award-winning Cava Bodega restaurant on the 20th of June. World Tapas Day, run by Spain’s tourism agency Turespaña, is a worldwide day of celebration for the famous Spanish delicacy, which takes place annually on the third Thursday of June.
To mark this day, and to give the people of Galway the opportunity to experience and enjoy this social approach to eating, Cava is offering diners a sample of three of their most popular tapas – croquettes, patatas bravas and pork belly – for €10.
JP McMahon said, “When we opened Cava 11 years ago, tapas was a relatively new phenomenon in Ireland. We wanted to bring that style of sharing and communal eating to Galway. Though it took our Irish customers a while to fall in love with small plates of food, they soon embraced the concept of sharing food amongst friends”.
Cava very quickly became and remains today one of the hottest spots in Galway city, offering a contemporary menu of authentic tapas that marries the cuisine and flavours of Spain with Irish produce, as well as an unrivalled selection of carefully sourced Spanish wines and sherry, in an upbeat, laid-back and fun atmosphere.
World Tapas Day takes place on June 20th, and on that day diners can enjoy a sample of three of Cava’s most popular tapas – croquettes, patatas bravas and pork belly – for €10.
